Day 16 - 10 Tagalog Phrases to add. White boy learns Tagalog / Filipino
Day 16 of my Tagalog Language studies. I am still chugging along but feel a bit overwhelmed. The works are so different that it is really hard to get them to stick in my mind. It feels like a lot of Tagalog works have so many syllables, its like 4 english words would make up the 1 Tagalog word. For fun here is the longest word in Tagalog. This gives you an Idea of what I am trying to tackle here.
“Pinakanakapagpapabagabag-damdamin” is a word constructed from 32 letters and is the longest word in Tagalog, meaning “the most emotionally disturbing (or upsetting) thing.”
I know from shifting my focus to more text and typing in my work book and apps online that it is going to get me to where I want to be. It is however going to be a long, hard road.
Here are my new phrases to add to my language base.
